Morrison Cohen LLP Announces Arrival of

Yariv Ben-Ari as Senior Counsel

New York, New York, February 14, 2013.  Morrison Cohen LLP announces the arrival of Yariv Ben-Ari, a Senior Counsel in the Firm's Real Estate Department, as well as its interdepartmental Real Estate Finance & Restructuring Group. Prior to joining Morrison Cohen, Yariv was an associate at Herrick Feinstein LLP where he concentrated in the areas of commercial real estate and finance.

Yariv Ben-Ari's practice is focused on all areas of commercial real estate. Yariv has represented investment banks, commercial banks, and other lending institutions in real estate finance transactions, including multi-property and multi-state acquisitions and financings, international development projects, and refinancings pertaining to office buildings, shopping centers, hotels, and mixed-use properties. His practice includes a full range of commercial real estate transactions, such as mortgage, mezzanine and other financing transactions, workouts, dispositions, and commercial leasing. Yariv's recent work has involved hotel and resort properties, spas, time-shares, shopping centers and other retail facilities, and residential and condominium developments.  Yariv has also worked with agent lenders and syndicate members and has experience with agency and syndication documents.   Yariv uses his knowledge of American and Israeli business cultures and legal systems to assist Israeli businesses and enterprises in the United States and Israel.

David Scherl, Chairman of Morrison Cohen, stated that, “we are very excited about having Yariv join our Firm.  He has built out a very nice following of clients, and his skill sets match up very well with our hotel and hospitality practice, and our real estate finance and development clients.  When you combine Yariv's skill sets with our shop's middle market-focused model (senior level practitioners providing legal services at rational billing rates), we are very confident that he will be able to use our platform to significantly expand his business.”
