Morrison Cohen Ranked Among Most Active Law Firms In Private Equity and Venture Capital Funds and Deals

For the ninth year in a row, Morrison Cohen LLP has been ranked by Dow Jones Private Equity Analyst among the most active law firms in the country in closing private equity and venture capital transactions and private equity and venture capital fund formations.

As reported in the April 2013 issue of Private Equity Analyst:

• In number of private equity or venture capital deals negotiated and closed in 2012, Morrison Cohen's 101 private equity and venture deals made us the 25th most active law firm in the nation, ahead of many larger firms, including Skadden Arps, Paul Weiss, Bingham McCutchen, Davis Polk, Greenberg Traurig, Debevoise & Plimpton, Fried Frank, Simpson Thacher, Shearman & Sterling, Gibson Dunn, and Schulte Roth.
   
• In the area of representing either general or limited partners in private equity and venture capital fund formations that had a final close in 2012, Morrison Cohen's 44 funds made us the 32nd most active law firm in the nation, ahead of larger firms such as Pillsbury Winthrop, Shearman & Sterling, Bingham McCutchen, Skadden Arps, Dechert, WilmerHale, and Foley & Lardner.
