Keith Markel Joins Board of Directors of Young New Yorkers

May 20, 2015 - Keith Markel, a Partner in the Firm's Compensation, Benefits & Employment and Business Litigation Departments, has joined the Board of Directors of Young New Yorkers, a Brooklyn-based nonprofit organization that provides teenagers with an opportunity for a fresh start through arts-based diversion programs.

Young New Yorkers is a restorative justice, arts program for 16- and 17-year-olds who would otherwise be treated as adults under New York's criminal justice system. The Brooklyn criminal court gives eligible teenagers the option to participate in Young New Yorkers rather than do jail time, community service and have a lifelong criminal record.
