Morrison Cohen Obtains Dismissal for Rockaway Hunting Club
August 17, 2015 – Morrison Cohen LLP successfully represented the Rockaway Hunting Club, a country club located in Lawrence, New York—and the oldest in the United States—in a case brought by a neighboring property owner alleging private nuisance and seeking a preliminary injunction against the Club's use of its own property.
The Supreme Court of New York, Nassau County, granted Morrison Cohen's motion to dismiss all of the claims and denied the plaintiff's application for a preliminary injunction. The court also denied the plaintiff's request for attorney's fees.
