Y. David Scharf Champions USTA Foundation Fundraising and Awards Reception

March 10, 2016 - Morrison Cohen Partner Y. David Scharf, who is the U.S. Tennis Association Foundation's Vice President of the Board of Directors, participated in the Foundation's fundraising and awards reception on March 7, 2016.  The fundraiser and awards reception is the kickoff for the BNP Paribas Showdown and celebration of World Tennis Day.

The reception was featured on Vogue.com where David is quoted about the Foundation's goals:  “We want to reach more and more kids out there. We're looking to almost double our reach. We've set an incredible goal for ourselves, and we're really trying to partner with the players who have their own foundations by helping kids at risk and putting tennis rackets in their hands.”

The USTA Foundation supports programs nationwide that leverage tennis, education and life skills to prepare under-resourced youth for college and beyond. The Foundation has benefitted thousands of children and adults through tennis, education, and health programs and college scholarships.
