Morrison Cohen Named to The National Law Journal’s 2016 Midsize Hot List

May 23, 2016 – For the third consecutive year, The National Law Journal named Morrison Cohen LLP among 20 law firms from across the nation to its 2016 Midsize Hot List. The list highlights law firms that “have held their own, often against much larger firms, charting winning courses in high-stakes matters that led to key victories in 2015.” The mid-sized firms on this year's list “have used their creativity and skill to stay competitive in courtrooms and at deal tables across the U.S.” and “embody lawyering at its essence — working hard to understand and serve their clients' needs.”

"We are honored to be recognized again by The National Law Journal as one of the nation's best midsize law firms,” said David Scherl, the firm's Chairman and Managing Partner. “We are proud to be acknowledged for providing our clients deep experience and senior-level attorney attention at rational billing rates. We appreciate our continued loyal client support and welcome new clients that will benefit from our approach to the practice of law.”

In its profile of the firm, The National Law Journal noted our 20-year relationship with client Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and our continued ability to attract top talent from other leading firms.

The profile also focused on the firm's notable series of successful court victories for clients EPT Concord, LLC and EPT Concord II, LLC (subsidiaries of Entertainment Properties Trust) and the firm's ability to do so with two partners and one associate -- exemplifying the firm's staffing model.
