David Saxe Quoted in The New York Times on New Judge Appointed to New York Court of Appeals

June 23, 2017 – The Hon. David B. Saxe, (ret.) is quoted about Justice Paul G. Feinman, who was confirmed recently as a New York Court of Appeals judge in the article “State Senators Confirm First Openly Gay Judge for New York's Top Court,” that appeared in The New York Times on June 22, 2017.  Justice Feinman was nominated by Governor Andrew M. Cuomo to fill the seat left open by the death of Judge Sheila Abdus-Salaam in April 2017.

“He's progressive, but I consider him a moderate with progressive instincts,” said former Justice David B. Saxe.

Justice Saxe served alongside Justice Feinman on the Appellate Division, First Department and was also a colleague on that Court of the late Hon. Sheila Abdus-Salem.

Justice Saxe joined Morrison Cohen LLP in March 2017 as a partner in the Business Litigation Department, after serving on the bench for 35 years, the last 19 as an Associate Justice, New York State Supreme Court Appellate Division, First Department.
