Mahnoor Misbah’s complex commercial litigation practice includes extensive experience working for the New York State Unified Court System. Her clients, which include high-net-worth individuals, corporations, financial institutions and start-ups, turn to her for representation in matters involving contract, real estate and shareholder disputes, as well as bankruptcy-related issues in court and through alternative dispute resolution. Mahnoor assists clients at all stages of litigation, including at the appellate level.
Prior to joining Morrison Cohen, Mahnoor clerked for the Hon. Lizbeth González in the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First Department, where she assisted in drafting appellate opinions. As a member of the firm’s Appellate Practice Group, Mahnoor uses her prior experience clerking at the Appellate Division, First Department to assist clients seeking appellate guidance.
Mahnoor has also clerked at the trial court level for the Hon. Saliann Scarpulla in the New York State Supreme Court, Commercial Division, where she assisted in drafting decisions concerning issues related to commercial law, including breach of contract and fiduciary duties, unjust enrichment and business torts. Prior to that role, Mahnoor clerked for the Hon. Arlene P. Bluth in the New York State Supreme Court, Center for Complex Litigation, where she assisted in drafting trial-level decisions and conducting discovery conferences.
Mahnoor is an active member of the New York State Bar Association, serving as co-chair of the State Court Counsel Committee, Commercial and Federal Litigation Section. She is fluent in both English and Urdu.
