Yuliya Neverova is an experienced business litigation attorney who has represented clients in arbitration proceedings, state courts and federal courts. 

Publicly traded companies, partnerships, limited liability companies and high-net worth individuals across industries turn to Yuliya to handle disputes involving an array of issues, such as breach of contract, fraud and tort claims. Yuliya advises clients in all stages of a dispute, from pre-litigation strategy through trial. She positions her clients for success, whether that means avoiding litigation, settling on favorable terms or taking the case to trial.

Prior to joining Morrison Cohen, Yuliya was an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, where she litigated complex commercial matters in state and federal courts, advised clients on internal investigations and represented clients in regulatory enforcement matters before state and federal authorities. 

Yuliya is fluent in Russian.

Experience

  • Defending a joint venture partner and asserting counterclaims in a breach of contract dispute in connection with an LLC agreement, culminating in a multiday AAA arbitration and successful outcome.
  • Asserting breach of contract claims on behalf of a jewelry brand against a major retailer, culminating in a multiday AAA arbitration and successful outcome.
  • Asserting multiple claims concerning a joint securities account, culminating in a multiday federal jury trial and successful outcome on the claim concerning the ownership of the account at inception.
  • Asserting breach of contract and employment law claims against former employees of a professional engineering and architectural firm.
  • Defending claims regarding membership and management rights in an LLC agreement against an investment banking business that specializes in employee stock ownership plans. Defending and asserting claims on behalf of the same client against a former sales representative.
  • Defending breach of restrictive covenant and other breach of employment contract claims against a former employee of an investment management company.
