Hon. David B. Saxe Speaks at New York State Annual Appellate Judges Seminar

Partner Hon. David B. Saxe, a former judge in the New York State Appellate Division, First Department, will speak on the panel “The Art of Oral Advocacy” at the Annual Appellate Judges Seminar at the invitation of Chief Judge Rowan D. Wilson. The panel also includes Judge Jenny Rivera, Associate Judge of the New York Court of Appeals, and Professor Terry A. Maroney, Chair of the Vanderbilt University Law School.

The Appellate Judges Seminar is held annually for New York State Appellate Judges from the four Appellate Divisions and the Court of Appeals. The three-day program covers topics that enhance the judges' appellate decision-making skills and expose them to emerging issues and trends in the law, as well as provide them with tools to address the myriad issues affecting appeals. This year’s panels also include “The Art of Judicial Collaboration” and “Ethics for the Appellate Judge.”

The seminar, sponsored by the New York State Judicial Institute, takes place in Clayton, NY from June 25-27, 2024.
