Morrison Cohen Ranks #4 in 2024 Pro Mid-Market 50 and Increases Revenue, Despite Dip for Most Mid-Market Firms
Morrison Cohen was ranked #4 in Law.com’s 2024 Pro Mid-Market 50 (up two spots from 2023), growing its revenue 10.5% in contrast to the 5.5% dip in the average revenue for midsize law firms in 2023.
According to the report, the firm increased its revenue to $121.8 million in 2023. With nearly flat head count growth in 2023, RPL also increased to $967,000 in 2023, up 11.3% compared with the prior year.
Chair and Co-Managing Partner Steven Cooperman told Law.com Mid-Market that revenue improved due to a number of factors, including demand increasing in its business litigation, digital assets, bankruptcy, executive compensation and individual client services groups.
Steve also attributed the firm’s revenue increase to the market segment on which it focuses. “The core of our transactional work also centers around middle-market transactions which are somewhat easier to execute even in slower markets, so we've been fortunate to avoid a material dip in corporate demand,” he said.
