Sydney Reade Joins Morrison Cohen

Morrison Cohen welcomes Sydney Reade to the firm as an associate in our Business Litigation Department. Before joining Morrison Cohen, Sydney was a staff attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, New York. In that role, she worked on an array of matters, including drafting bench memoranda, motion orders, and proposed summary orders in labor and employment, civil rights, and criminal sentencing cases, among others. She also conducted research on legal issues and handled time-sensitive motions dealing with emerging state health legislation.

Prior to joining the Second Circuit as a staff attorney, Sydney clerked for two years at the United States District Court, Western District of New York in Rochester, for both Chief Judge Frank Geraci and Magistrate Judge Jonathan Feldman, where she assisted in conducting all aspects of discovery and courtroom procedure.

Sydney received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, and her B.S., magna cum laude, from Cornell University.

“With her firsthand experience in the U.S. Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court, Sydney will bring an insider’s perspective to our Litigation Department, which will be a tremendous asset to our clients,” said Danielle Lesser, partner and chair of Morrison Cohen’s Business Litigation Department. “We are thrilled that she has joined the firm.”

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Sydney.
