Y. David Scharf Comment on Real Estate Developer’s Failed Project Featured in The Real Deal
November 20, 2018 – Morrison Cohen Partner Y. David Scharf's quote on the demise of developer Ruddy Thompson's Upper Manhattan condominium project that lead to the collapse of his business, was featured in the November 2018 issue of The Real Deal in the section titled “In Their Words … The Funniest and Most Insightful Comments on Real Estate”. The comment was first published in the article “A Developer's Project Becomes his Downfall”, in the October 8, 2018 issue of Crain's New York Business. The article chronicles the combination of recession, cost overruns, and disputes with lenders and partners that lead to the failure of Thompson's project to build a 23-story, 114-unit residential condominium in Washington Heights.
