Y. David Scharf Quoted on Rise in Commercial Real Estate Distress
Chair and Co-Managing Partner Y. David Scharf was quoted in The Real Deal, in a June 15 article entitled “Bankruptcy Expert Greg Corbin Launches New Firm as CRE Distress Rises.” The article discussed how bankruptcy has become so prevalent in commercial real estate that Greg Corbin, former president of bankruptcy and restructuring at Rosewood Realty Group, is starting a boutique firm dedicated to distressed asset sales and restructuring.
David, who has likewise seen an unprecedented number of commercial real estate clients seek counsel regarding bankruptcies, foreclosures, workouts and restructuring said, “Of my 18-hour days, 14 to 15 of them are consumed with real estate distress.”
