Mahnoor Misbah focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation.
Mahnoor’s clients, which include high-net-worth individuals, corporations, financial institutions and start-ups, turn to her for representation in matters involving contract, real estate and shareholder disputes, as well as bankruptcy-related issues in court and through alternative dispute resolution. Mahnoor assists clients at all stages of litigation, and uses her prior experience clerking at the Appellate Division, First Department to assist clients seeking appellate guidance. She has extensive experience working for the New York State Unified Court System.
Prior to joining Morrison Cohen, Mahnoor clerked for the Hon. Lizbeth González in the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First Department, where she assisted in drafting appellate opinions.
Mahnoor clerked at the trial court level for the Hon. Saliann Scarpulla in the New York State Supreme Court, Commercial Division, where she assisted in drafting decisions concerning issues related to commercial law, including breach of contract and fiduciary duties, unjust enrichment and business torts. Prior to that role, Mahnoor clerked for the Hon. Arlene P. Bluth in the New York State Supreme Court, Center for Complex Litigation, where she assisted in drafting trial-level decisions and conducting discovery conferences.
Misbah is an active member of the New York State and New York City Bar Associations. She serves as secretary of the Judiciary Committee of the New York City Bar Association and as co-chair of the State Court Counsel Subcommittee of the Commercial and Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association. She is also on the Board of Trustees for Adelphi University. She is fluent in both English and Urdu.
