Ted Marks concentrates his practice on a variety of commercial real estate matters.
Ted’s clients rely on his counsel regarding the development, acquisition and disposition of properties, negotiation of commercial leases, construction of buildings and interior facilities, and conversion of residential and commercial buildings to condominium and cooperative ownership. In addition, he represents borrowers and lenders in mortgage and equity lending transactions and workouts.
Ted represents owners and users of properties and development sites in New York City and surrounding counties in matters including the negotiation of construction and design agreements, access agreements, and license agreements respecting construction on adjoining sites. He also advises purchasers and sellers of mid-and high-end condos and coops in matters including implementing corporate ownership structures.
Ted has represented a large airport and several major airlines with respect to leasing, construction, operation and concessioning of terminals, as well as leasing and subleasing of gates, cargo facilities, reservation areas and office space. In addition, for several decades, Ted has represented a number of New York City’s leading restaurants in the selection, leasing, construction and operation of their facilities.
Ted joined Morrison Cohen in 1987 and was chair of the firm’s Real Estate Department for over 10 years.
