William Roth focuses his practice on complex civil litigation and white collar defense relating to digital assets, cryptocurrency and securities.
Will regularly advises companies, executives and founders in connection with investigations and regulatory enforcement actions by the Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, Commodity Futures Trading Commission and state regulators. He has defended clients charged with violating the federal securities fraud and wire fraud statutes, and in his civil practice, has litigated securities class actions, RICO claims, contract disputes and business torts involving fraud and trade secrets. Many of Will's matters raise issues of first impression concerning the regulatory landscape relevant to digital assets and other emerging technologies.
Prior to joining Morrison Cohen, Will was a litigation associate at Levine Lee LLP. He was previously an associate at WilmerHale LLP and clerked for the Hon. Edward R. Korman of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
