Eric Moskowitz focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, equity financings and other complex corporate transactions.

Throughout his career, Eric has represented private equity funds and their portfolio companies in buyouts, investments and sales. He specializes in negotiating operating and shareholder agreements, licensing arrangements, commercial partnerships and other strategic business deals. In addition, Eric advises investors in equity financings and companies in their private placements. His clients span a number of industries, including retail, manufacturing, real estate, technology, media and financial services.

Eric also regularly counsels independent sponsors and other entrepreneurs in all life cycle phases of their ventures, from raising initial search capital, to securing equity funding, through the transformative acquisition and subsequent financings and leading to an eventual exit event.

Before joining Morrison Cohen, Eric was a partner in the Corporate Advisory practice of McDermott Will & Emery LLP.

Experience

Representing U.S.-based private equity firm in series of acquisitions of independently owned regional packaged gas retailers in furtherance of "roll-up" growth strategy.   

Control investment in accounting advisory and consulting business by private equity firm's financial services-focused group.   

Acquisition and subsequent disposition of tax advisory business by middle market private equity firm, including interim add-on acquisitions to platform.

Served as legal counsel to Source Advisors, a leading tax advisory consulting group and portfolio company of Gainline Capital Partners, in its acquisition of Intrepid Advisors, a consulting firm specializing on research and development tax credits.
