Andy Bank and Keith Markel Are Featured Panelists at Luxury Boutique – Milan Masterclass
Morrison Cohen’s Luxury Brands co-chairs – Andy Bank, partner and chair of the Real Estate Practice, and Keith Markel, partner and co-chair of the Labor & Employment Practice – will be participating in an upcoming featured panel, “Beyond the Glitz and Glam: What Luxury Brands Must Know About U.S. Real Estate and Employment Laws Before Entering the Market,” at the Luxury Law Alliance’s Luxury Boutique – Milan Masterclass. The event takes place in Milan, Italy on September 30, 2024, and will bring together leaders in the luxury retail world for a special masterclass on various industry related topics.
Andy and Keith’s panel, moderated by luxury brands senior human resources executive Jamie Scott Durling, will discuss the critical aspects luxury brands must consider before entering the U.S. market, including the key steps to honing a “bricks to clicks” strategy, securing prime retail locations and establishing a workforce that aligns with U.S. labor and employment standards while maintaining brand culture and corporate identity. They will also discuss common pitfalls that can derail even the most well-intentioned companies entering the U.S. market, and how to ensure a brand is poised for success from the start.
Chaired by Niccolò Pallesi, general counsel at Ferretti Group, the Luxury Law Alliance event will feature insights on a range of subjects concerning luxury brands, including brand protection, real estate, labor & employment, culture wars, political activism, mergers & acquisitions, private equity, greenwashing and forthcoming regulatory regimes.
